Unfortunately it lies far away from many of the other buildings in Mystery Lake. The Homestead is a very warm building, a fire will not always be required to warm you up. The Trapper's Homestead can serve as a good safehouse due to the many storage containers, stove and working bench. Outside the Homestead lies an abandoned barn and some birch saplings. It contains a bed, a wood stove, a workbench, and many containers. The interior of Trapper's Homestead is filled with valuable supplies. Adjacent to the Trapper's Homestead is a small abandoned barn and due further south is Max's Last Stand.

Valuable supplies may be scavenged from the Trapper' Homestead, including a hunting rifle along with ammunition.ДЄn open patch of ice and snow surrounds Trapper's Homestead, sometimes abundant with deer and rabbits. Trapper's Homestead is accessible from a path to the east and a difficult path to the north-east. Both the Camp Office and the Trapper's Homestead make more adequate bases. Wolves patrol the clear cut area, this can be a drain on flares or ammunition as you can't simply turn around and hide in the house if the wolf is in aggression range. There are only 5 or so nearby buildings to be searched, so if you have searched these a very long trek must be made to gain additional supplies. There is a wood stove inside to warm you and cook food The long trek down the mountain and back up again means any trip is time consuming. This means by the time you reach the bottom of the path you may be cold already. The forestry lookout does not make an ideal base, it is especially cold when exiting due to the high altitude. The lookout is reached from clear cut by following the sign up the mountain trail. The interior is warm enough to keep you from freezing even during a blizzard. It contains bunk beds, wood stove, a radio, food, and a hunting rifle spawn. The trail begins at the far end of the parking lot next to the wooden sign board with a map of the park. Continue driving through the parking lot and park as far along the parking lot as you can. Eventually, you will reach the parking lot at the top. The road zigzags back and forth as it climbs steeply. At the traffic lights, turn left onto Mount Seymour Road and follow this road as it veers left slightly and then wraps around to the right and begins to climb up the mountain. After exiting, turn right before the traffic lights onto Mount Seymour Parkway and continue driving eastbound.Д¬ontinue driving along Mount Seymour Parkway for about 10-minutes until you reach a shopping mall on your left. Cross the Second Narrows Bridge and take Exit 22B for Mount Seymour Parkway. From Vancouver, drive east to Highway #1 and merge onto the highway at one of the entrances, heading westbound. Mystery Lake is located at Mount Seymour in North Vancouver. How to get to Mystery Lake Estimated Driving Time from Vancouver 50 minutes Be careful as you step over the slippery tree roots and loose rocks, making your way past the small pond, and eventually back to the parking lot at Mount Seymour. It's also a great lake for a swim during the summer months.ДЄfter enjoying Mystery Lake, return to the trail where you arrived at the lake and begin hiking back downhill. However, there are also paths to the left that wrap around most of the lake, so look for a spot to rest to enjoy your time at the lake. It's worth noting that the trail continues to the right and eventually joins with the Mount Seymour trail. Within minutes, you reach the edge of the Mystery Lake. Walk over the wooden boardwalks and continue up the the dirt trail, passing an open section before entering the forest again. The trail weaves back and forth slightly until it eventually reaches a small pond to the right. After checking the map, walk towards the ski lift where a wooden post with a green sign points in the direction to Mystery Lake to the right of the wide gravel trail.ДЇollow the trail as it climbs almost immediately through the low mountain brush. From the Mount Seymour parking lot, walk to the far end to where the wooden map board is located.
